The course provides an in-depth study of Bioethics, an understanding of its principles, and a better approach to current challenges in the biomedical, biolegal and environmental fields in the light of Catholic morality and in conformity with the Magisterium of the Church.

The course lasts one year, consists of approximately 70 teaching hours, and can be taken in person at the University’s facilities or remotely via streaming.

Target Audience

The Bioethics Course is aimed at anyone seeking to integrate a greater knowledge of bioethical issues in their professional and work activity: priests, religious men and women, jurists, doctors and health personnel, teachers, catechists, and other pastoral agents and volunteers committed to the defense of life. The course provides an in-depth study of Bioethics, an understanding of its principles and a better approach to current challenges in the biomedical, biolegal and environmental fields, in the light of Catholic morality and in conformity with the Magisterium of the Church.

Professors

Besides the professors of the Faculty of Bioethics, the invited professors for the course include Alberto Carrara (APRA and Pontifical Academy for Life), Laura Palazzani (LUMSA and National Committee for Bioethics), Giuseppe Noia (President of the Italian Association of Catholic Obstetricians and Gynecologists) and Maurizio Faggioni (Alphonsian Academy and Pontifical Academy for Life).
