“A Life for Life Award” Ceremony

On November 4, the Faculty of Bioethics of the Pontifical Athenaeum Regina Apostolorum (APRA), in collaboration with the International Association St. Helen Empress, grant the "A Life for Life" Award to Dr. Patricio Ventura-Juncá. This award, instituted in 2009, is given annually to individuals or institutions that, in different areas, have contributed to value, love, respect and defend human life. Dr. Ventura-Juncá has excelled both in his academic and personal life in defending human life from its beginning at conception to its natural end. This commitment was recognized by Pope John Paul II who appointed him as an ordinary member of the Pontifical Academy for Life in 2003, where years later he became a member of its management team. Dr. Ventura-Juncá has also excelled in the Academy of Catholic Leaders, initially as a teacher in programs for high school and university students in Chile and Latin America, addressing issues of the defense of life and personalist bioethics. For five years he has participated in the Academic Committee. There he has collaborated in the drafting and revision of multiple programs, with a vision always pastoral and intellectually rigorous, providing a truly significant contribution to the various topics. In addition, as a pediatrician, he dedicates his work to young patients and, in particular, to the poorest. The ceremony will take place in the Aula MAGNA of the Ateneo Pontificio Regina Apostolorum and can be followed online through the Zoom platform https://form.upra.org/servizionline/form/WebinarAPRACerimoniaPremioUnavitaperlavita/formperma/Q1zno7VgayOgqqTLEhrkWHMpZEbfmuXU8NB6PD7GE1Y  Translations into English, Italian and Spanish are provided through the zoom platform (see link above).
