Rome, July 1, 2022 - On July 7, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m, the Event on "Ethics in the world of Blockchain" will take place, which will feature the intervention and analysis of industry experts. The Event - which follows up the path started in 2021 by the Pontifical Athenaeum Regina Apostolorum - will be held in the Aula Magna and online (Zoom and Facebook).    The Research Line on New Technologies, Blockchain, NFT and Cryptocurrencies that has just been established has as its object of study the ethical use of New Technologies based on the Blockchain principle and aims to create an ethical culture with a Christian spirit regarding the use of blockchain technologies. This not only in the academic and Catholic world but in synergy with an innovative evangelization of culture, to invest in training rather than information.    With this Event:
  • the objective towards an Ethical use of New Technologies based on the Blockchain principle continues;
  • the Ethics and New Technologies Laboratory (LENT) is presented as an evolution of the 2021 Working Group with its main Partners;
  • it is intended to go through the history of the Project, based on blockchain technologies, in its various phases and ethical choices to provide reference points to be submitted to the attention of all public or private sector operators interested in the topic.
  The LENT wants to define a new methodological approach for classifying activities according to the concept of "Rating", based on qualitative and quantitative guidelines. The identified Guidelines, which will be presented at this Event are:  - Adherence to anti-money laundering regulations  - Ethical purposes of the initiative, such as Charity, Energy efficiency, protection of the artistic heritage etc.  - Environmental impact of the technologies used  - Transparency of information.    For more information: fundraising@upra.org   To participate online: https://us02web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_UWEB9A_HRdWOEDGUHYDyVw        PRESS CONTACTS  Maria Selva Silvestri - Head of Institutional Communication  comunicazione@upra.org    PRESS RELEASE  PDF FORMAT
