RIU Internationalization meeting: a great to networking opportunity according to the strategic lines

The second internationalization meeting of the RIU (International Network of Universities of Regnum Christi) was held from 17 to 19 October at the Anáhuac International University of Cancún (Mexico). Fr Giovanni Malgaroli, LC, former secretary general of the Ateneo Regina Apostolorum, attended the meeting representing the University The meeting was led by Luis Eduardo Alverde, Rector of the Anáhuac Querétaro University and in charge of the strategic line of the Network. Also the internationalization diresctors of each University member of the RIU attended the meeting and there were also: Fr. Jesus Quirce, LC, Rector of the University where the meeting was held; José Mata, Rector of the University Anáhuac Puebla and current President of RIU, as well as President of Consejo Directivo de la Federación de Instituciones Mexicanas Particulares de Educación Superior (FIMPES); Yoani Rodríguez, Rettore dell’Università Anáhuac Oaxaca e responsabile della linea strategica di ricerca della RIU. The meetings took place in an atmosphere of authentic team spirit that positively impressed the participants. After an update on the goals setted on 2019 and on the current situation and challenges, new goals for the next academic year has been stteled down, setting dates and locations for the next annual meetings Among the great opportunities to take advantage of, there is the greater integration with the strategic line of research, to support the internationalization of teachers and research projects, as well as the possibility of growing in the general communication strategy as a Network to improve each University positioning. Between the meetings there also was the visit to the Santuary of the Virgin who unties knots, which is a Santuary recently builded, in caraibic style, that has many visits by locals and tourists, and already adorned with numerous ex-votos.
