Introduction
The course aims to provide students with an understanding of the theological reality of the Church. Starting with the constitution Lumen Gentium, and its interpretation by Ratzinger, it will highlight: the Trinitarian, Christological, and human nature of the Church; the main ecclesiological models and images; the implications of its four main characteristics; and the mission of the Church.
