Filosofia e tecnologia. Le sfide antropoligiche del pensiero postumano

Filosofia

Academic Year 2023-2024

Duration

II semestre

Class beginning dates

16/02/2024

Introduction

– The use of the term “posthuman” has spread within the various fields of contemporary culture, from the arts to philosophy, from cinematography to literature and scientific dissemination. Posthumanism describes a new cultural phase in which man reinterprets himself in the light of the recent possibilities conferred on him by the development of technological knowledge, positioning himself between the undoubted benefits brought up by scientific progress and the risk, for man, of seeing the own role and self-perception, thus allowing new meanings to emerge that contribute to delineating a new, decentralized, and deconstructed anthropological vision. The seminar will develop through the critical analysis of the theories of some of the authors who have contributed to the development of ethics in the technological field.
