Philosophy is a rational inquiry into being, knowing, and acting. A fundamental aspect of philosophical reflection is the study of being. What are the first principles, fundamental compositions, and ultimate causes of being? The course “Nature and Creature” follows the course “Science and Wisdom.” This course aims to provide students with the metaphysical foundations of philosophical reflection. It is divided into three parts:
1. The philosophy of the physical world, which studies being as quantity, space, time, and becoming.
2. Metaphysics, which focuses on being itself, its internal compositions, and the transcendentals.
3. Philosophical theology, which is the culmination of metaphysics and studies the ways to understand God and His attributes in the light of reason.
