Istituto Superiore di Scienze Religiose

Academic Year 2023-2024

Duration

II semestre

Class beginning dates

24/02/2024

Introduction

The course in the psychology of interpersonal conflicts in religious communities offers elements of understanding, deepening and reflection on the conflict dynamics that arise within the religious community, providing consecrated men and women with practical tools for managing and resolving them.
Tensions and conflicts within communities and groups are a reality that affects all those meaningful cohabitations in which people are animated by the same desire to devote themselves to others.
The course proposes a selection of psychological theories on the understanding and management of inner conflict and the deepening of the emotions and motivation that underlie the choices to “stay” in the relationship.
The themes of conflict (presence of conflicting motivational structures with respect to the goal) will be addressed in parallel, both from a theoretical and applicative point of view. The explanation and application of intervention methodologies in the management of conflicts within groups is also foreseen.
