From 24 ottobre 2018 to 25 ottobre 2018 at the Pontifical Athenaeum Regina Apostolorum

Download poster The Faculty of Philosophy of the Pontifical Athenaeum Regina Apostolorum, with the collaboration of the Faculty of Theology, has organized an event to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the death of Romano Guardini, one of the main figures of Catholic thought in the 20th century, and whose diocesan process in view of his beatification has recently been started. With a "call for papers", we want to bring together expert and young scholars in order to share their vision and interpretation of Guardini's extensive legacy. In order to guarantee a broad horizon of reflection, six areas have been established to reflect on some of Guardini's main nuclei of thought:
  • Area 1: Liturgy, ecclesiology, spirituality.
  • Area 2: Person, Anthropology, Ethics.
  • Area 3: Philosophy of Religion.
  • Area 4: Methodology of Thought: Polarity and Worldview.
  • Area 5: Culture and Christianity.
  • Area 6: Pedagogy and Christian formation.
Those interested can submit an abstract (no more than 600 words). Once the abstract has been approved, the participation is formalized and a discussion group is assigned, in which a time equal to 20 minutes (maximum) will be guaranteed for the presentation of the paper. Through this work in specific groups we want to encourage networking, as well as encourage scholars to reflect on the relevance of Guardini's thinking to illuminate the present moment of the life of the Church and of society.
  1. Abstracts are allowed in Italian and English.
  2. The papers prepared for the Conference are privileged, but papers that have been published in the last five years are also admitted. The details of the publication must be indicated in the abstract.
  3. Maximum extension: 600 words.
  4. Enter personal data at the beginning of the abstract: name and surname; e-mail; last academic title obtained; institution of belonging.
