The world of education is showing immense solidarity with the Ukrainian tragedy of thousands of young people forced to leave their country and consequently their education.
Many primary and higher education institutions have already made scholarships available to support the further education of Ukrainian children.
The network of educational institutions promoted by the Legionaries of Christ Congregation also wants to play its part in giving solidarity to young people in difficulty.
“Peace is possible, peace is necessary, peace is everyone’s primary responsibility!”
This year, Tour2France becomes an opportunity to support the Tour4Peace campaign by offering scholarships to students from Ukraine to be used at our facilities at the Regina Apostolorum Pontifical University and the European University of Rome.
From Sunday 17 to Sunday 24 July with the Tour2France, which APRA Alumnus Fr. Clemens will lead from St. Peter’s Square to the Sanctuary of Our Lady of La Salette, France, to combine solidarity, sport and spirituality along the 800 km (approx.) route.
Let’s help Ukrainian students to continue their studies: together with the European University of Rome, we provide scholarships for the academic year 2022/2023 for a large solidarity campaign in favor of students in need.
Students in need of scholarships will be referred by the partner association “HOPEforUkraina“, which works in direct contact with Ukrainian refugees in Italy
You can also support this project with a donation or by participating in the ‘Tour2France’ solidarity bike ride. This traditional initiative raises funds yearly for scholarships for students in financial difficulty.
We look forward to seeing you in St Peter’s Square on Sunday 17 July at 9 am
